Low Water Landscape Design--Focus on Plant Selection

UC Hansen Agricultural Center’s June 26, 2010 Saturday at the Farm will offer great information on creating beautiful, thriving gardens that are economical and conserve water too!

Gain appreciation for:

  • Where our water comes from
  • How our is water used
  • Opportunities to conserve this precious resource

Learn basic principles of water-wise landscaping:

  • Garden design
  • Plant selection and care
  • Hardscape and irrigation choices

This workshop will be presented by a UC Master Gardener. There is no cost to attend this event. Space is limited and registration is required to reserve your spot. Please call  525-9293 ext. 214 or email sbmiller@ucdavis.edu to save your spot.

The UC Hansen Agricultural Center is located on the corner of Telegraph and Briggs Rd. in Santa Paula. Admission and parking is free. Use the main entrance on Briggs Rd.

Plan to arrive at 9:30 to check-in. Program will begin promptly at 10 a.m. and will end at noon.

Other activities include a self-guided Faulkner House & Garden tour as well as the Master Gardener Plant Sale, both from 9:30 a.m to 11:30 a.m.  No reservation is required for these activities.
