Hosted by: VCAILG
Date: August 29th and 30th
Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm both days
Description: Growers are invited to participate in this 6-hour training to acquire the credentials needed to develop self-certified Irrigation and Nutrient Management Plan (INMP) for their farms. Under the Ag Order, all growers are required to develop certified INMP(s) by March 1, 2025. Growers who choose not to attend the self-certification training must work with either a CCA or NRCS to certify their INMP(s).
At the end of the Day 2 session, attendees will be given a 30-question multiple choice test, which requires a passing score of 70% or higher to receive self-certification credentials. Additionally, a training session with simultaneous Spanish translation will be offered in late 2024 or early 2025.
If you attended a previous self-certification training, your certification is still valid and you do not need to attend again. However, we do recommend attending the training again (without needing to retake the test) to learn about changes to the requirements under the Ag Order and the new Irrigation and Nutrient Management Plan (INMP) and Irrigation and Nutrient Management Report (INMR) templates. A condensed refresher course for people who previously attended the full self-certification course will also be offered later this year.
